Ah, a member of the Hooligan Navy! (They stay close to shore 'cause they can't swim!) LOL Just kidding. The Semper Paratus boys and girls do good work these days, with harbor protection, drug interdiction, and contraband searches in Iraqui waters. As a Photographer, I did a couple of missions with them out of Elizabeth City and Guantanamo Bay in the late 50s and early 60s Some of those rescue boats and Boston Whalers were fun rides! I think during the WBTS part of the CG was the Rescue Service. Somewhere along about then, I have a recollectuion that the CG made an amphibious landing in Korea for some reason. Any thoughts on that? Or am I having a senior moment? Uniquely, at least in my day, The Coast Guard was under the Commerce Department in peace time and the Navy during war time. Stan
