I found a ton of sources last night. but just did not post. One site you can go to for a modern day expert is the 37th Texas Re-enactment group, headed by Col. Mike Kelly. He is an expert on minority Confederates. This is a multiracial group that has done their reserach. I have had trouble opening his site lately, it makes my "puter freeze up.
