George I have no doubt that you can find a SCV camp or Confederate RE-enNactment group that will back up the large figure of Black Confederates. Just as I could probably go to a SUVCW site or some Black site and find the number few or none at all. Can you give me any source information on a large number of blacks fighting for the Confederacy....diaries, letters home or newspaper accounts. Something from the ORs? How about someone like Foote or Sears or any half-way non-partisan historian? I say half-way...we all have our leanings, don't we? Haven't heard from you in awhile, hope you are well.
