What a shame that folks dishonor these men in order to perpetuate their own ideas of how things happened. Don't you agree?

Yeah Jamie, I'd say a lot of people have been dishonored. Ever notice how our prejudices comes out. Especially when we write to prove our slant. I recall Eric Foner saying that no Blacks fought for the Confederacy willingly. Impressive historical credentials Mr. Foner has.. wouldn't you agree? Though he does tilt toward a Black and Liberal position. What would be the position of some of your authors? Just looking at the titles I'd say it was defiantly pro-Confederate...might I be right? As I said to George Purvis, there are men that try to write about the war without a slant....Foot, Sears, Buell, etc...From those I have never heard mention of Black Confederates. I'm sure you can produce Pro-Confederate authors who can prove 5 in every ten Confederates were Black. I could name McPherson and Foner who would say they were only used for slave labor....which side has an axe to grind Mr, Roberts?...I'd say both....give me someone with a more balanced view Jamie...Shelby Foote, tells me about all those Black Confederates, I'll take that to the bank...
