So good to hear from you again. The History Channel...can't go wrong there, can we?....what source was this information based on....again, I have read about battles of the A0P for years and have never seen or read of any significant number of black Confederate prisoners being captured by Union soldiers. Not one source from either Union or Confederate diaries, letters home or newspaper reports. Perhaps you could direct my attention to a SOURCE REFERENCE on this subject. I would enjoy reading it.
