The John Thomas Ashley Camp # 43 is close by at Honea Path; its adjutant is Sam Atkins, E-Mail RSAtkins@bellsouth.net.

The other SCV camp in Anderson County is Palmetto Sharpshooters Camp # 1428, in Anderson. The only E-Mail address I see for any of its officers is also the Adjutant, Michael Graham, at oldrebel57@hotmail.com.

I suspect that one of the three of them can tell you which camp is decorating the graves at First Creek. I go by the church periodically, and the Confederate graves are always prominently marked with flags and they are kept in good shape. Whoever is decorating the cemetery is doing a very good job.
