Lee, thank you. I'm still learning the literature (being far more familiar with aircraft carriers!) I wondered why Katcher's book from the UK on Civil War sharpshooters excluded the PSS, and now that makes sense, whatever title various units bore. Incidentally, I received a very helpful note from the PSS re-enactors and am most appreciative of everyone's willingness to help.
