Rudy, It looks like your question was answered quite well by George and Lee. What I have and all of you might be interested is a diary of W.L. Johnson from Gaffney South Carolina who was in "The Palmetto Rifflemen, Company K,
Palmetto Sharp Shooters". The diary is from April, 1861 to March 1865. The paper is 17 pages long and was sent to me by a member of the SCV from a Camp in SC. Anyone interested, please email me.
