Thanks for all the great info. I will order his records. According to the letter, Newton's father was Charles. I looked in the 1800 census and there is Rickerson but no Charles. Maybe the guys he fought with that were Lipsey's were cousinsor something. I will look and see if I can figure this all out. Once again, thanks. I find all of this to be so interesting. I am going to really start researching!
