Yes it does. THAT is the problem. One of the hiccups in that is there are some who are crying when they get a point taken away and blame another when they weren't even in the game.
No one complains about Chinese New Year celebrations. We don't complain too loudly when our childrens history lessons are only about MLK and Rosa Parks and we sure don't object to LEGAL Hispanics. It is only the Southern/Confederate history that is the repeated target and blamed for anything that goes wrong. The mess with those kids in La. should have been taken care of before someone (not giving my thoughts on who) brought it up to the NAACP and National news media. Had History been taught as it was and not cut and pasted,we could say those boys knew just how bad they were being. As it is, they thought it was a joke. A good behind whipping in their younger years may have been called for, don't know their parents.
It is a pretty pitiful picture when there are people halfway across the globe wanting to learn of our heritage and can't fathom why it cannot be taught as it was. Not edited to resemble some cliff notes.
Maybe instead of insults, everyone should respect others heritage and not discriminate on whose is important.
