Thank you Bryan, I am glad you saw clearly the tone I was attempting, which was simply to show that writing a new Constitution would be extraordinarily difficult, each issue involved is not so easily resolved. These issues are very complex and are extremely difficult to summarize in a brief forum post.

The founding fathers were brilliant in my opinion, I am sure their task was difficult enough trying to meet everyone's needs, but on the other hand, they had a very limited (compared to today) constituency, certainly not the diversity of groups and issues and complexities we face today. They had hard enough issues of their own facing the myriad needs of all regions of the former colonies, but they did not have to meet the needs of the groups that form our society today. They chose not to even tackle issues like women's rights despite many of their wives wanting the right to vote even back then.

Anyway, Bryan I have certainly enjoyed it too, especilly your posts. I didn't think it was too off topic either, and to avoid going too modern, for the record I did at least try to focus it back onto war issues like states rights, but it is probably time to move on to other topics. I'll check back often probably. There are some very good minds here.
